Rugged Systems & Mission Computers
Kontron designs and delivers COTS and semi-custom system solutions to military customers – both the government and prime contractors. Our specialty is in the integration of COTS building blocks with purpose built hardware and software components to achieve best system performance at reduced cost and SWaP-C. Kontron development and production programs target mobile applications for military aircraft, ground vehicle and shipboard environments. Full qualification testing to the environmental and EMI MIL-specs is a frequent requirement. Our deployed products range from Ultra Small Form Factor embedded computer systems up to shipboards systems consisting of multiple 19” racks. Core competencies include system packaging, thermal management, software development, complex I/O solutions, plus custom boards, backplanes & power supply development.
