Embedded performance. Extreme durability. Designed for mission-critical operations in harsh environments.
The Kontron µDARC is a compact, ultra-rugged microserver purpose-built for mobile and tactical edge computing in the most challenging environments. Powered by an energy-efficient NXP i.MX8X quad-core processor, it delivers robust computing performance while consuming less than 5 watts of power.
With a sealed IP67 enclosure and a weight of only 735 grams, the µDARC is engineered for seamless deployment on soldiers, unmanned vehicles (UAVs/UGVs), and mobile command systems. It serves as a critical edge node, processing sensor data (LiDAR, GPS, cameras) in real-time, even under mission-critical conditions.
Supporting a wide range of connectivity options and built-in cybersecurity features, the µDARC ensures secure data collection, processing, and transmission at the tactical edge. It’s an ideal solution for modern network-centric warfare and field-deployed secure computing applications.
Typical Use Cases:
-
Wearable computing for soldiers (sensor fusion and analytics)
-
Tactical edge computing in unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and drones (UAVs)
-
Mobile cybersecurity gateway for encrypted, inspected battlefield communications
