At the field, or edge level, data is collected by industrial computers, e.g. by gateways, which process, filter, analyze and act on these data in real-time right at the device.

Edge, fog and cloud applications demand increasing computing power. The interfaces to sensors or machines often require non-standard solutions. Especially in smaller machines, space is limited or restricted in some dimension and need a special solution.

Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

Industrial Monitors

Kontron industrial monitors offer a wide range of display sizes and formats from 10.1" to 23.8" in 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 standard format for clear visualization of complex data. Multi-touch functionality enables intuitive operation. The monitors are designed for reliable 24/7 operation and meet demanding requirements for shock, vibration and temperature resistance. Flexible mounting options allow installation as a built-in version or as a stand-alone solution with VESA mounting.

All industrial monitors feature an easy-to-clean, anti-glare and scratch-resistant front glass with IP65 protection. The front is available with PCAP touch, resistive touch or protective glass.

Semi- and full-customized versions enable adaptation to individual visualization requirements in automation, medical technology, transportation or military applications.
