Automation-Line AL i.MX8M Mini is a compact, fanless Linux computer designed for DIN rail mounting. Its robust enclosure is specifically tailored for automation and IoT solutions, offering flexible expansion options via multifunctional I/O modules.
Performance & Architecture
Inside of the AL i.MX8M Mini, the system features an NXP i.MX8M Mini with 4x Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores (1.6 GHz) and 1x Arm® Cortex®-M4 at 400 MHz, complemented by 2D and 3D GPUs as well as modern LPDDR4 memory technology. It supports up to 4 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC, and microSD card. Optionally, the system can be equipped with CODESYS® SoftSPS for industrial control tasks.
Communication Interfaces
The Box PC offers numerous connectivity options, including dual Gigabit Ethernet with TSN, CAN-FD, HDMI 4K, LVDS, MIPI CSI for displays and cameras, as well as USB 3.0 Type-C. Up to 16 I/O modules can be controlled via the CAN bus.
Fields of Application & Advantages
The AL i.MX8M Mini offers a wide range of interfaces: 2x Ethernet (1 Gbit/s & 100 Mbit/s), 2x USB 2.0 Host, 1x USB 2.0 OTG, one each of RS232 and RS485, 1x CAN 2.0 B, 4x digital I/Os (24 V), HDMI for displays with up to 1920 x 1080 @60fps, as well as a microSD Card Slot. The I/O modules can be controlled via the CAN bus, and up to 16 modules can be connected.
