Value Line Series: Keeping Costs Down Without Compromise
Eching, Germany, April 16, 2007 Kontron announced today the release of the Kontron CP307-V, yet another expansion in the already popular CompactPCI Value Line Series. As the latest addition to the Kontron CompactPCI Value Line the PICMG 2.0 compatible Kontron CP307-V boasts an Intel® Celeron® M processor 440. The Value Line boards offer customers a cost-optimized set of features and are a less complex design than the high-end Kontron Performance Line. The focus lies on outstanding cost effectiveness rather than uncompromising performance.
Designed specifically for cost-sensitive applications, the Kontron CP307-V includes a 1.86 GHz Intel Celeron M processor 440 with a 533 MHz front side bus, combined with the Intel Mobile 945GM Express chipset. And the up to two GByte DDR2-SDRAM memory modules with 533 MHz offer high data throughput. The CPU board is available as dual slot (8HP) solution providing comprehensive communications interfaces via 4 x USB 2.0, PS-2 and COM and 2 x GigaBit Ethernet where high network bandwidth is guaranteed through the Ethernet channels. The graphics accelerator integrated within the Mobile Intel 945GM Express allows for excellent 2-D, 3-D and video features. Connectivity by a VGA and DVI-port enables dual operation mode.
In addition, the Kontron CP307-V boasts 2x SATA-300 hard drives and a compact flash socket.
Among the many uses for the Kontron CP307-V are price-sensitive industrial applications, such as those found in production control, machine, or facilities construction. The compact board is also useful as a communications computer for information systems.
Moreover, the front-side exchangeable assemblies in a Kontron CompactPCI system utilizing the Kontron CP307-V are extremely convenient for system integrators and maintenance personnel. The complete system solution offers more convenience, outstanding performance, and greater flexibility at an extremely attractive price.
