Das 3HE VPX Carrierboard VX3800 kann alle Standard XMC/PMC Mezzaninekarten aufnehmen und erweitert damit die I/O-Flexibilität von VPX Systemen. Es bietet einen XMC/PMC Konnektor, der entweder als 32-bit/66 MHz PCI-Bus oder auf dem XMC Steckplatz mit einem x4 oder x1 PCI-Express Link zur VPX Backplane genutzt werden kann. Das VX3800 ist ein Mitglied von Kontrons VITA 46 VPX Ökosystem, das die Implementierung von VPX erleichtert.
