Computer on Module (COMs) sind hoch integrierte Single-Board Computer (SBC) Komponenten, die Systemerweiterungen und applikationsspezifische Anpassungen unterstützen. Das CPU-Modul stellt die Grundfunktionalitäten bereit und über das Carrierbord werden die applikationsspezifischen Features eindesignt. In der Kombination entsteht somit eine semi-custom Embedded PC Lösung.
