Poway, CA -- July 26, 2005 -- Kontron America, the leader in embedded computing technology and mobile rugged solutions, is proud to announce that as of Monday, August 8, the Embedded Modules business unit will be co-located with the Mobile Rugged business unit in a state-of-the-art facility closer to the heart of Northern California's Silicon Valley. This decision brings the talents of approximately 100 Kontron employees ranging from engineering, to marketing, to sales and service functions all under a single roof in Fremont, California.
"We are very excited about the co-locating of these two business units. The location is beautiful and the perfect place for such an innovative group of individuals to be," says Dale Szymborski, General Manager of the Kontron America facility in Fremont. "Although the Embedded Modules and Mobile Rugged groups will function as separate business units, there is a great deal of synergy that exists. This ensures that the embedded computing technology and mobile rugged markets can expect to see even more advancements coming from Kontron in the Silicon Valley."
"This is a very positive move for the Embedded Modules team," notes Matthias Huber, Director of the Kontron Embedded Modules business unit. "Being in Fremont puts us very close to many of the industry partners with whom we work. The layout of the building itself also allows for greater efficiencies within the Modules team and takes better advantage of the synergies that exist with our Mobile Rugged teammates."
