Kontron Launches Full-featured Mini-ITX motherboard

To satisfy the integrated and compact market of demanding, Kontron announces the KEMX-4000, a Mini-ITX form factor industrial motherboard based on the Intel® Pentium® M processor and Intel® 855GME chipset. This full-featured board includes 6 serial ports, 24-bit dual channel LVDS, TV-out, video encoder, ATA-100 interfaces, dual Gigabit Ethernet USB 2.0, floppy port, parallel port, AC’97 audio, and keyboard/ mouse. The KEMX-4000 provides ATX-capabilities in Mini-ITX form factor, measuring only 170 x 170 mm.

The standard version supports a Pentium® M processor in 478 ìFC-PGA package, while the optional soldered Ultra Low Voltage Intel® Celeron® M processor at 600 MHz in ìFC-BGA package with Intel® 852GM chipset provides a cost-effective, ultra low power alternative. Front Side Bus speed is 400MHz, and memory support is DDR 266/333MHz DIMM up to 2GB. Extension interfaces provided are a 32-bit/33MHz PCI Bus Interface, CompactFlash and Mini PCI socket.
