PCI-990

The PCI-990 introduces what customers are ready to exploit - an ultra performance, full-length SBC that is clearly the most ideal processing engine for any mission-critical application in the CTI, high-end Internet security and data center environments.

It features the ultra-high performance of dual Intel Pentium III processors up to 1.26 GHz each, up to 4GB of SDRAM memory, 64-bit bus support and dual 100Base-Tx or dual 1000Base-(T or S/LX). The option for dual gigabit Ethernet is achieved by incorporating a custom Kontron Gigabit Ethernet Mezzanine which features an Intel 82544 Ethernet controller with either copper- or optic-type interfaces.

OEM developers who also require a high-end Internet security PCI system in a 1U form factor may take advantage of the Dreamspeed platform and combine it with the PCI-990 and other PCI security hardware to greatly accelerate the processing power required for such functions as data-packet encryption/de-encryption.
