VX3908

Kontron's VX3908 is a robust, fully managed layer 2&3 switch with 1/10/40/50 Gigabit Ethernet capabilities. Engineered for durability in harsh environments, it offers outstanding bandwidth and communication safety, ideal for long-term programs.

Aligned with VITA65 OpenVPX profile, it supports up to 12x 10GBASE-KR ports on the VPX backplane, with additional configurations enabling aggregated 10GbE ports forming higher bandwidth outputs.

With extensive management capabilities via SNMP, command line interfaces, and IPMI v1.5, it allows for comprehensive monitoring and remote configuration. Its feature set encompasses IPv4/IPv6 forwarding, routing, VLANs, QoS, spanning tree protocols, and Ethernet bridging and routing protocols.

The VX3908's enhanced features include egress ACLs, intelligent health management via IPMC, and an additional powerful CPU from QorIQ® LayerScape family, ensuring high performance for management systems and future scalability.
