The Open Frame 6U 50HP Chassis is a compact and versatile development platform with adjustable rear profiles, 3U/6U backplane support, and a 600 W ATX power supply for reliable performance across VITA and PICMG standards.
- Form Factor: 6U height, 50HP width; overall dimensions 450 mm (H) × 50HP (W) × 302 mm (D).
- Slots: Supports up to 12 slots with compatibility for both 3U and 6U backplanes.
- Cooling System: Air-cooled design with internal fan tray and bottom-to-top airflow.
- Fans: Two front fans (224 CFM, 64 dB(A), 3A) and three rear fans (39 CFM each, 34 dB(A), 0.23A each).
- Power Supply: 600 W ATX type with input range of 90–264 VAC.

The Open Frame 6U 50HP Chassis offers a compact, robust, and flexible platform for development and testing applications. | The open chassis is designed for test and development engineers, providing flexibility and ease of use. The chassis is designed for use with RTM boards, and offers easy access to boards from both sides. The rear profiles are moveable up to 2.5mm for using different RTM boards (cPCI, VME etc.). The mechanical construction is very robust with 6mm/ .236“ thick sidewalls. To ensure efficient cooling, 5 high performance fans are placed below the chassis, with front and rear air plenums to maximize air flow. The Development chassis can be configured for various platforms, including VPX, VME, VME 64, cPCI, VXI, and VXS. Select from a wide range of backplanes from Hartmann Electronic. You can use backplanes up to a width of 50 HP. |
