Der MOPSlcdLX (Minimized Open PC System) mit seinem 500 MHz AMD™ LX800 Prozessor bietet hohe Zuverlässigkeit und Performance bei geringem Energieverbrauch - lediglich passive Kühlung, wenn überhaupt - keine bewegten Teile. Der PC/104-Plus™ SBC (mit ISA & PCI Signalen) bietet Applikationen eine breite Auswahl an ISA I/O oder PCI I/O Baugruppen.
Der MOPSlcdLX ist ein hochintegriertes Prozessorboard, das neben allen Standardschnittstellen auch PCI-Grafik, 10/100 MBit Ethernet und 2x USB unterstützt. Der Watchdog Timer und eine Echtzeituhr gehören zum Ausrüstungsstandard. Der SO-DIMM Sockel kann das Board mit bis zu 1 GByte DDR-RAM versorgen.
Der untere Sockel ist als JILI (LVDS) Interface ausgeführt und bindet LCD Flachbildschirme an. Der onchip Graphics+ Controller unterstützt CRT & TFT. Eine Kontron chipDISK (IDE kompatible Flashdisk) mit bis zu 1 Gigabit Kapazität kann direkt mit dem 2,5“ Festplattenanschluss verbunden werden. Alle MOPS PC/104 Board sind Plug&Work kompatibel was die Time-to-Market signifikant reduziert. Alle MOPS PC/104 bieten ein identisches Pinout für Tastatur, COM1 und COM2, 44-Pin IDE, 2x USB, LPT und LAN. Dieses einheitliche Feature der MOPS-Familie erleichtert Upgrades innerhalb der Kontron MOPS PC/104-Produkte enorm.
