KontronOS for Avionics (KOSA) is a configurable, scalable middleware solution that simplifies application porting and speeds time-to-market for inflight entertainment, connectivity, and smart cabin systems. Built with avionics safety and certification in mind, it supports virtual machines and containers, enabling flexible, modular deployment across a wide range of aircraft environments.
Hardware-agnostic and supported on all Kontron avionics platforms, KOSA unifies compute, storage, and networking resources through a configurable resource manager. Combined with Kontron Device Management for Avionics, it enables full fleet management with remote monitoring, over-the-air updates, and seamless software and content delivery.
