Der Pi-Tron CM3+ setzt seinen Schwerpunkt vorrangig auf Kommunikationsfunktionen und kommt oftmals als Gateway oder Datenlogger zum Einsatz. In Kombination mit den Multifunktions-I/O-Modulen lassen sich auch komplexe Automationslösungen realisieren.
Der Pi-Tron CM3+ und der Pi-Tron CM4 können optional mit der SoftSPS CODESYS® ausgerüstet werden. Somit lassen sich alle Anwendungen erschließen, die eine speicherprogrammierbare Steuerung erfordern.
