Das AL i.MX8M Mini LTE aus der Serie Automation-Line der Kontron Electronics ist ein kompaktes, lüfterloses IoT-Gateway für die DIN-Schienenmontage, entwickelt für anspruchsvolle Steuerungsaufgaben sowie mobile und drahtlose IoT-Lösungen. Mit seinem robusten Edelstahlgehäuse und der flexiblen Montage auf der Hutschiene eignet es sich besonders für industrielle Anwendungen und Umgebungen, in denen Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit gefordert sind.
Leistung & Architektur
Herzstück des Gateways ist der NXP i.MX8M Mini Prozessor mit vier Arm® Cortex®-A53 Kernen (1,6 GHz) und einem Arm® Cortex®-M4 (400 MHz), unterstützt von 2D/3D GPU. Der Arbeitsspeicher umfasst bis zu 4 GB LPDDR4-RAM, ergänzt durch verschiedene Speicheroptionen wie NOR-Flash und eMMC. Das System läuft auf dem sicheren, gehärteten KontronOS Linux-Betriebssystem und bietet Secure-Boot sowie zwei redundante Partitionen für höchste Verfügbarkeit und Schutz der Daten, optional Embedded Linux (Yocto Distribution).
Kommunikationsschnittstellen
Das AL i.MX8M Mini LTE verfügt über vielseitige Schnittstellen: Ethernet (1x 1 Gbit/s, 1x 10/100 Mbit/s), USB (2x 2.0 Host, 1x 2.0 OTG), serielle Ports (RS232, RS485), CAN 2.0 B und vier digitale I/Os (24 V/bis zu 800 mA). Die drahtlose Kommunikation wird durch das integrierte LTE Cat1 Modul mit Nano-SIM Slot ermöglicht, welches zuverlässige mobile Verbindungen für IoT-Anwendungen bietet – ideal, wenn eine Einbindung ins Unternehmensnetzwerk nicht möglich ist.
