Portable 5-slot 19″ VME/VME64 crate with redundant hot-swappable power supplies and comprehensive monitoring for mobile or bench-top applications.
- Hot-swappable redundant 250 W cPCI power supplies (1–2 units)
- 5-slot monolithic VME/VME64 backplane (6U × 160 mm modules)
- Built-in WIENER CML Shelf Manager with alphanumeric LED display (voltages, currents, fan speed, temperature, programming, status LEDs)

The VME 554 Portable Chassis is a lightweight and compact 19″ desktop crate ideal for mobile data acquisition, testing, and debugging tasks. It accommodates up to five 6U VME or VME64 modules and features redundant, hot-swappable 250 W cPCI power supplies for high reliability. The built-in WIENER CML Shelf Manager offers full local and Ethernet-based remote control and diagnostics of power, fan, and chassis parameters via an alphanumeric LED interface. Cooling is provided by a quiet DC blower with rear-to-rear airflow, and the system includes comprehensive protection and programming features. Global AC power compatibility and ergonomic portable housing (~10 kg) make it an excellent choice for flexible, field-ready setups.
