SOM

Systems-on-Module (SoMs) combine Microprocessor (CPU), flash and RAM memory, as well as power supply on a compact circuit board. The wide range of communication interfaces are connected via contact pads located on the edge and under the module. SoM modules are soldered onto compatible carrier boards, eliminating the need for additional connectors. This makes them a powerful core module for creating customized applications. SoMs are also available with a variety of processors based on proven Arm® technology. This allows for flexible coverage of diverse performance requirements and application areas.

The future-proof, open OSM standard (Open Standard Module™) for soldered Systems-on-Module standardizes the diversity of manufacturer-specific modules in terms of sizes, pin assignments, and interfaces.
