Kontron Transportation’s Next-Gen Dispatcher is a future-proof, standards-based dispatching solution for existing and future rail networks. It supports individual, user-tailored applications for rail operations.
Together with our partner Telematix we jointly develop this next-generation dispatcher solution.
The Next-Gen Dispatcher is an integrated, compact and flexible dispatcher terminal solution for voice, data and video communications.

KBox R-101 Central Computer
Compact and modularly scalable central computer for diagnostic, communication and monitoring functions with extensive connectivity options such as WLAN, LTE, 5G, UMTS, GSM, LPWA, Bluetooth and GNSS functionality
The platform is based on a fanless, passively cooled, IP54 compliant system solution and consists of proven and industrial-grade mechanical as well as electronic components. All external interfaces are designed for rugged applications in railroads and public transport and are EN50155 compliant.
With the full/wide range power supply, nominal voltages of 24V DC - 110V DC are supported, in addition the system offers a hold-up time according to class S2 and a controllable ignition input.
The platform allows to provide multiple wireless modules simultaneously for WLAN, LTE, UMTS, GSM, LPWA as well as GNSS and ensures the best possible radio connection – e.g. by using a maximum of eight provider profiles - by automatically switching to the most suitable network.
The USB-C service interface, which is also IP54 compliant, allows the operator to use a DisplayPort, a USB 3.1 interface and a power supply with up to 10W for e.g. touch panels via only one interface, which facilitates debugging and commissioning.
Due to the approval according to EN50155, the compact system is certified for mobile use as rolling stock or for wayside monitoring.
