Open Frame

The Kontron Open Frame Development Chassis Series is our most versatile system to date. Available in 3U or 6U configurations, with 34 HP or 50 HP width and space for up to 12 slots, this adaptable test system is designed to be an engineer’s best companion. Its sturdy frame with an adjustable locking grab handle, combined with a lightweight design, makes the Open Frame Chassis ideal for easy transport from the lab to the testing environment.

The Open Frame Chassis includes manually controlled 120 mm front fans and integrated fan and voltage monitoring. Optionally, customers can choose conduction-cooled configurations—either for single slots or for the entire chassis. Various widths and combinations of 3U and 6U slots are also available.

These systems are offered with or without a backplane, in both air- and conduction-cooled versions, and can be equipped with 600 W ATX power supplies.
