Open Frame

The Kontron Open Frame Development Chassis Series is our most versatile system to date. Available in 3U or 6U configurations with 34 HP or 50 HP width and up to 12 slots, this adaptable test system is designed as an engineer’s ideal companion. Its sturdy yet lightweight frame, featuring an adjustable locking grab handle, allows for easy transport from the lab to the test environment.

The Open Frame Chassis features manually controlled 120 mm front fans with integrated fan and voltage monitoring. Optional conduction-cooled configurations are available for single slots or the entire chassis, along with various combinations of 3U and 6U slots.

Systems can be supplied with or without a backplane, in air- or conduction-cooled versions, and with up to 600 W ATX power supplies. Supported backplanes include CompactPCI, CompactPCI Serial, PXI, VME, VPX, and more. Custom configurations are available upon request. Contact your Kontron representative for further details.
