Product Information
The OSM-S AM62L from Kontron Electronics is a compact System-on-Module complying with the OSM standard, equipped with an energy-efficient Dual-Core Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor from Texas Instruments. With its space-saving form factor of just 30 x 30 mm, as well as flexible memory options of up to 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM and up to 128 GB eMMC flash, the module delivers an optimal combination of performance, power consumption and cost efficiency. Its full machine-processability for soldering, assembly and testing ensures quick and easy integration into a wide range of embedded applications.
Performance & Architecture
At the heart of the OSM-S AM62L is the powerful TI AM62L Dual-Core Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor, operating at a clock speed of 1.25 GHz. The module also features advanced pin multiplexing and a sophisticated LPDDR4 RAM layout, which has already been implemented. With Embedded Linux (Yocto Distribution) as the operating system and a supply voltage of only 5 V, the OSM-S AM62L is ideally suited for fanless systems in continuous operation. Integrated security features such as Secure Boot, Trusted Execution Environment and cryptographic acceleration (AES, SHA2, DRBG, PKA) ensure a high level of data security.
Communication Interfaces
The OSM-S AM62L offers a wide range of modern communication interfaces: two Gigabit Ethernet ports with Time Sensitive Network (TSN), two CAN FD interfaces, as well as numerous I/O options such as USB 2.0, UART, I²C, SPI, GPIO, PWM, SAI, SDIO and ADC. For integrating user interfaces, there is a MIPI DSI and an RGB interface available, both supporting resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps. This array of features enables powerful and future-proof communication, meeting the demands of challenging applications in industry, medical technology or building automation.
