The cPCI Serial 4U 42HP 7-slot chassis is a high-performance CompactPCI Serial (PICMG S.0) system, incorporating a 3U 7-slot PCIe Gen3 backplane in single-star topology and powered by a 300 W CompactPCI Serial power supply.
CompactPCI Serial (CPCI S.0) succeeds classic CompactPCI (PICMG 2.0) by replacing parallel bus architectures with serial, point-to-point links for PCIe and Ethernet. Hartmann’s cPCI Serial systems combine modular, rugged design with high throughput capabilities via single-star (or optionally more advanced) topologies.
This 4U, 42 HP chassis supports seven plug-in cards, enabling complexity and functionality in a compact footprint. With full compliance to IEEE and IEC standards and tested resilience under vibration and shock environments, it is suited for industrial and rugged contexts. The integrated 300 W power supply ensures strong power delivery with margin, while dual fans and bottom-to-top cooling maintain system temperature stability.
