Performance & Architecture

At the core of the BL i.MX8M Plus lies the NXP i.MX8M Plus SoC, equipped with four Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores clocked up to 1.6 GHz. Additionally, it integrates a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) offering 2.3 TOPS, enabling real-time AI and machine learning tasks. While up to 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM and up to 128 GB eMMC storage provide the necessary resources for data-intensive processes. Thanks to the inclusion of both 2D and 3D GPUs and a powerful VPU with H.265 support, high-resolution multimedia applications and visualizations can be implemented optimally.

Communication Interfaces

With dual Gigabit Ethernet and TSN, USB 3.0 Type-C, two USB 2.0 ports as well as CAN-FD, LVDS and HDMI interfaces, the BL i.MX8M Plus offers versatile connectivity. The MIPI-CSI interface with four lanes enables direct camera connection, making the board particularly attractive for image processing and vision systems. Various peripheral devices can be easily integrated, supporting a wide range of application scenarios.
