CompactPCI Serial is an industrial standard for modular computer systems defined by the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) as CPCI-S.0. Unlike classic CompactPCI systems based on parallel PCI buses, CompactPCI Serial exclusively uses high-speed serial point-to-point connections, enabling modern system architectures without the need for switches or bridges in configurations with one system slot and up to eight peripheral slots.
Building on the evolution of the established PICMG 2.0 CompactPCI standard, Kontron Hartmann Wiener GmbH offers high-quality CompactPCI Serial power backplane solutions designed for demanding industrial applications. Power is fed via M3 studs for +12 V and +5 V standby, ensuring secure and reliable power delivery.
