Efficient IoT Device Management for Fleets of Any Size

The ManagedEdge IoT Bundle is designed to efficiently manage IoT devices worldwide and get started right away. It is ideal for component suppliers, device manufacturers, machine builders, and fleet managers who want to securely operate and maintain device fleets of any size.

Secure and Stable Operating System for Edge Devices

The Linux®-based KontronOS operating system ensures maximum security and stability. Two redundant partitions ensure that operations continue smoothly even in the event of failed updates or system failures. Update integrity – from the operating system and boot loader to customer applications – is guaranteed by Secure Boot, which ensures that updates can only be released and installed if they are digitally signed.

Faster Response Times With 24/7 Remote Support

Service and support must respond quickly in the event of malfunctions. KontronGrid gives you a clear overview of important health parameters of the IoT device. Access the console or graphical user interface of the device quickly and efficiently from a remote location via Remote Desktop Shell (RDP) or Secure Shell (SSH). Alternatively, use a temporary direct connection “VPN tunneling” to provide fast remote support at the control level in the customer and machine network.

Automated provision of mass rollouts

With the KontronGrid, complex container-based software developments can be rolled out using configurable templates or native customer applications. Software sets are used that include the boot loader, operating system and app packages. CLI, REST APIs and Docker Compose Integration support an efficient build and deployment process. This enables successive scheduling of various update scenarios on globally distributed edge devices.
