Flexible and powerful systems thanks to modular design: Individual adaptations to specific requirements
Kontron already offers a large number of its systems in flexible and powerful standard configurations, but also allows further customization to given requirements by means of a sophisticated modular design with defined internal interfaces. In this way, individual devices can be configured from a basic product. CPU boards, displays, input units, mass storage and IO extensions or power supplies can be individually adapted for each device to meet the relevant requirements.
Customized Adaptations through Modular Components
The selection options can be transferred to all other functional elements, be it the housing, touch technology or special types of protection, to name just a few examples. The advantages are obvious: based on standard devices, solutions are developed according to individual requirements - quickly, easily and cost-effectively. The standard devices and components are already in series production and have a correspondingly high level of reliability and maturity. This forms a solid foundation for individual solutions.
Kontron can draw on existing standard configurations and a wide range of standardized function blocks for individual customer solutions and promptly implement individual systems for any application at attractive conditions. This principle also simplifies the rapid provision of prototypes for new environments and minimizes the design risk here. In most cases, only minor adjustments are required to solve a given problem.

Modified Industrial Box PC KBox A-250
The fanless industrial PC in box PC format is based on a cost-optimized gateway for IoT edge applications from the standard portfolio. For particularly demanding industrial applications, the Box PC has also been equipped with IP54-protected connections for Ethernet, DisplayPorts, USB ports and power to ensure a secure connection, while optional Wi-Fi and LTE functions offer additional flexibility and connectivity. Ideal for use in industry, the industrial PC combines robustness and modern technology in a compact design.
Industrial Box PC
Kontron's KBox family offers flexible, maintenance-free box PCs and gateways for IoT edge applications. The KBox A series includes fanless IoT gateways for edge analytics and remote monitoring. The KBox B series offers powerful box PCs with desktop CPUs for image processing and AI applications. The KBox C series is characterized by scalable Box PCs for industrial control cabinets. Robust Box PCs for top-hat rail mounting, expandable with multifunctional I/O modules, are included in the AL series.
