Introduction




  Note: using this BSP requires a solid knowledge about Windows XP embedded and
  the Windows XP Embedded Design Suite! 

  This Board Support Package (BSP) supports the
  Kontron CP6002 board and associated rear I/O boards under Windows XP embedded.

    Installation


       System Requirements: 
   Windows Embedded Standard 2009 or Windows XP Embedded SP3

   Installation procedure:
   - Create an empty directory folder and unpack the WXPE_BSP_CP6002_R10.zip file
     in this directory. 
   - Open the WXPe Database Manager.     
   - Import the CP6002.sld file into the Windows XP Embedded Database (for
     detailed instructions please see  UserGuide_SLD_import.chm file).

TPM Support
    

TPM support is not contained as a Windows XP embedded 
    
component in this BSP.
In case TPM support is wanted, download the CP6002 Windows XP 32bit Board Support Package 
    
from www.Kontron.com and install the 
    
Infineon� TPM HostSW package (located in that package) after the FBA has been finished. 
    
In case cloning of the image is required,
    
run reseal and use the resulting image as Master Image. 

    
 GRAPHICS  
    
  After installation of Intel graphics device driver when
     
  selecting graphics properties via context sensitive menue
     
  on blank desktop screen may become black for around 2 seconds before opening graphics dialog boxes. 
    
  This happens if only one graphic output device is connected to CP6002 system.
  It does not implicite a problem to the system.

    
 AUDIO Support  
    
  The Audio components are needed only if the rear I/O board CP-RI06-A or -B is installed.

    
 Ethernet Teaming Support  
    
  The Ethernet Teaming Component will start an interactive installation by a FBA command at phase 12300.
  After completion of the installation routine, ethernet teaming is available but not established.
  In order to establish ethernet teaming, open the device manager, open a network adapters properties
  and select the "Teaming" Tab. From here define the ethernet team. 

      
 RAID/AHCI Support  
      
  Before running the FBA the SataMode in the EFI shell must be set to "raid" or "ahci"

    Restrictions 


            The .net Framework 3.0 must be contained and installed in the target image for
        the Graphics user interface and the Rapid Storage user interface.
        (the graphics and RAID support components will add the .net Framework 3.0 component automatically)
        Installing procedure: 
        After booting into the Windows Embedded Standard operating system, manually 
        run the executable file dotnetfx3.exe, located in the Windows directory of 
        the target device (or the destination specified in the File Resource Properties 
        dialog box in Target Designer).

  reference sources for developers. 
  
  These files are not required for a functional
  target image and therefore not imported into the repository. 
  
  All other files are required for support of the CP6002 board
