Introduction




  Note: using this BSP requires a solid knowledge about Windows XP embedded and
  the Windows XP Embedded Design Suite! 

  This Board Support Package (BSP) supports the
  Kontron AM4020 for Windows XP embedded.
  (see List of supported Kontron Boards and supported devices)

  The BSP contains files which will be imported into the WXPE Database repository
  and files (help files, demo source files etc.) which are not imported into the
  repository.

       System Requirements: 
   Windows XP Embedded Design Suite

   Installation procedure:
   - Import the AM4020.sld file into the Windows XP Embedded Database (for
   detailed instructions please see  UserGuide_SLD_import.chm file).

TPM Support
    

TPM support is not contained as a Windows XP embedded 
    
component in this BSP.
In case TPM support is wanted, install the 
    
Infineon� TPM HostSW package (located under the
    
folder "TPM" in this BSP) after the FBA has been finished. 
    
In case cloning of the image is required,
    
run reseal and use the resulting image as Master Image.

    Restrictions 


     - The .Net Framework 3.0 must be contained in the target image for use of
   the Graphics user interface, the TPM user interface and the Rapid Storage user interface. 
    
 - The Windows XPe boot process may be delayed for approximately 90 seconds if at least one of the 
   two backplane network ports have negotiated a valid Ethernet link to an MCH (MicroTCA Controller Hub) 
   which is not connected to a network resp. a DHCP server. 
   During the boot delay, the system seems to be frozen and not operable. In order to overcome the 
   situation, you may either disable the corresponding backplane network port e.g. via Windows device manager)
   or must assign a static IP address instead of using DHCP (default setting).

  repository. All other files are required for support of the AM4020 board 
  family and will be imported into the repository. You will find a list of all files
