Das erste 2,5" Motherboard, das den vollen Funktionsumfang von Intel® Atom™ Prozessoren bis zu 1,6 GHz bietet - Pico-ITX™ Format.
Der Pico-ITX™ Formfaktor ist perfekt ausgelegt für die Entwicklung kleiner aber leistungsstarker Anwendungen. Der Formfaktor passt ideal zu korrespondierenden 2,5" Festplatten oder microSD-Karten. pITX-SP, Kontrons erstes 2,5" Motherboard basiert auf dieser Spezifikation und ist mit Intel® Atom™ Z510 / Z530 Prozessor sowie Intel® System Controller Hub US15W bestückt.
Das Board bietet highspeed Schnittstellen wie beispielsweise Gigabit-LAN, Dual-SATA und USB 2.0. Onboard sind zudem eine DVI-Buchse (bis zu 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz), ein LVDS-Konnektor (JILI30 / 112MHz getaktet über einen Kanal / nahezu alle Displayauflösungen von VGA bis WXGA werden unterstützt) sowie HD Audio und SP/DIF, sodass mit dem Board viele Multimediaapplikationen umgesetzt werden können.
Der Chipsatz des pITX-SP unterstützt Shader basierte 2D und 3D Darstellungen auf zwei unabhängigen Monitoren, bietet integrierte Decoder für MPG2 und H.264. / MPEG-4 AVC und unterstützt DirectX und Open GL. Kundenspezifische Erweiterungen können über SDIO oder Digital-I/O Port angeschlossen werden. Softwareseitig erleichtern Funktionen wie beispielsweise JIDA (JUMPtec Intelligent Device Architecture Interface) und weiter BIOS Tools den Systemaufbau und -betrieb.
