The New Generation Development Chassis is designed as a flexible and user-friendly platform for test and development engineers, combining high power capability, advanced cooling and broad system compatibility.

The chassis is equipped with a high-performance 1800 W ATX power supply capable of delivering up to 120 A at 12 V, supporting power-demanding applications. Power is supplied via a wide-range AC input from 90 to 264 VAC, with the power supply connector located on the rear side.

A robust cooling concept ensures reliable operation under all conditions. Up to ten high-power fans are integrated, including four front-mounted 120 × 120 × 38 mm fans and six rear-mounted 80 × 80 × 25 mm fans. The airflow is directed from bottom to top and fan speed is adjustable to match application requirements.

The chassis supports 3U backplanes with up to ten VPX slots or up to twelve slots for PCI, Serial, PXI or VME systems. Optionally, the chassis can be equipped with an all-new SOSA™ aligned 7-slot VPX backplane designed for 100 Gbit/s Ethernet, providing an ideal match between chassis and backplane.

An additional option is the integration of a VITA 46.11 compliant chassis manager. The chassis manager communicates with system components via an I2C bus and enables advanced management and communication functions in accordance with the VITA 46.11 standard.
