Die KBox A-230-LS basiert auf dem NXP Dual Cortex-Prozessor LS1028A und ist ein Industrie-Box PC, der auf TSN-Anwendungen (Time Sensitive Networking) spezialisiert ist. Die KBox ist mit einem Kontron SMARC-Modul ausgestattet und verfügt über fünf TSN-fähige 1-GB-Ethernet-Ports, die die Spezifikationen nach IEEE 802.1-TSN erfüllen. In diese CPU sind sowohl GPU als auch LCD-Controller integriert.
Der Box PC ist für den 24/7 Betrieb ausgelegt und für die Anforderungen industrieller Umgebungen bestens geeignet. Die beiden Arm®v8-Kerne unterstützen Echtzeitverarbeitung für industrielle Steuerungsprozesse, sowie virtuelle Maschinen für Edge-Computing im IoT.
Die KBox A-230-LS ist wartungsfrei, das System arbeitet lüfterlos und ohne Batterie. Darüber hinaus unterstützt die KBox A-230-LS optional die Sicherheitslösung Kontron APPROTECT basierend auf der Wibu-Systems CodeMeter® Technologie.
