Kontron´s New Web Site Ranks in Top 10

Munich, Germany, December 6, 2001 - Kontrons recently launched web site has been ranked as "ideal" according to Germanys Manager Magazines web site test and ranking survey. The survey ranks Kontron in 10th position and attributes high marks especially to the quality of the information offered.

Although it was the first time that Kontron was among the tested companies, it ranked better than many other "Neuer Markt" listed corporations and beat out well-known conglomerates such as the Deutsche Bank, SAP and Siemens.

The survey tested the web presence of the top 100 German companies. Within that set were 70 industrial and trading concerns with the highest revenues, the five largest banks and insurance companies, and 20 companies who had the highest market capitalization as of June 2001. Five criteria were considered: design, navigation, interactivity, transparency of actual business climate and consistency of the web pages.

The test team found Kontrons transparency and the quality of information to be superior. They also commented on Kontrons timeliness and the sites ability in keeping investors and the interested public up to date. On the investor relations portion of the site, high marks were scored for the quality and quantity of downloadable Ad Hoc messages, financial reports, press releases, as well as easy access to the Kontron Newsletter (an informative newsletter, published four times per year, which highlights Kontrons development, its newest acquisitions, products and customers).

The test team also liked the "latest news" section and the related links to the current financial charts - which the magazine said gave a nice, quick overview to the visitor. Commenting on the recognition from Manager Magazine, Chairman of the Board, Hannes Niederhauser stated, "We are very please with this excellent result.
