Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

ICS Advent Delivers Full Integration Services To Agilent Technologies
Arrangement Will Provide Agilent with Complete Turnkey Platform Sourcing, Integration and Support Services
SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 14, 2001 - ICS AdventTM, the premier provider of stable computing platforms and platform integration services for next generation network solutions, today announced an agreement to provide complete turnkey platform sourcing, integration and support services to Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A), a leading provider of innovative technologies for communications and life sciences. With this agreement, ICS Advent will become the computing platform on Agilent´s chromatic dispersion and polarization mode dispersion test and measurement solutions for the fiber optics industry.

ICS Advent will utilize its award-winning Omnix¿ computing platform, specifically the 200L Series chassis combined with ICS Advent´s Endeavor Plus Single Board Computer, along with other third party cards, to create integrated and customized solutions for Agilent. Through the strength of its business-critical applied computing experience, its communications market focus and its support of key technologies, ICS Advent will provide Agilent a variety of services, including: base configuration, options identification, configuration validation, integration instruction development, custom integration services, proactive revision control, proactive End of Life (EOL) planning, test and simulation, third-party sourcing flexibility and safety stock, along with ICS Advent´s 24x7 technical support.
