ICS Advent Call Center Platform Given EIC Approval by Interactive Intelligence, Inc.´s "Server Certification Program"

San Diego, CA December 8, 1999 ICS Advent, formerly Industrial Computer Source, announced that its new Model 7520-44HR Call Center Platform was recently granted Enterprise Interaction Center (EIC) approval after successfully completing a comprehensive call center test simulation conducted at Interactive Intelligence, Inc.s Server Certification Program testing laboratory. The purpose of the EIC Certification Program is to develop a greater diversity of alternative hardware solutions and to provide resellers and their customers with a higher degree of industry hardware compatibility to ensure successful implementations. The Server Certification Program also provides a mechanism for resellers to certify servers that they already use for other CTI implementations, and to open the door to new sales opportunities for vendors with different capacity servers.

The EIC test program is geared to the certification of a specific PC-based server configuration running Windows NT. In order to be approved, the server must successfully process a number of calls using Interactive Intelligences Call Center Simulator, a complete, integrated client/server communications system for configuring a wide variety of sophisticated networked telephony functions using a simple "drag and drop" application generator. Standard applications include PBX, ACD, IVR, Voice Mail, Fax Server, Web Gateway, supervision, administration and others. Certification requirements also include completing the test with no hardware-related alarms, maintaining power levels through failover and other criteria.
