New Kontron Embedded mITX Desktop Motherboard - extended features and higher performance in mini format
Now available with Intel® Core™ i3, i5, i7 or 6th Generation Intel® Xeon® E3 Quad Core Processors
Augsburg, Germany, November 21, 2016 - Kontron, a leading global provider of Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), today announced its new embedded mini-ITX motherboard with Intel® Core™ i3, i5, i7 or 6th Generation Intel® Xeon® E3 14 nm Quad Core CPUs. Its extended features and higher performance make the new Kontron mITX-SKL-S-C236 motherboard a perfect solution for Point of Sale or Point of Information scenarios, medical technology, and industrial automation. Digital signage solutions and other innovative devices benefit from the newest Kontron mITX motherboard generation as well.
Core features of the new Kontron embedded mITX desktop motherboard include Intel HD Graphics with three independent graphic ports (three Display Port (DP) 1.2, or two DP and one LVDS interface) and DirectX 12 as well as OpenGL 4.4 support; up to 32 GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2133 memory and a socket for mPCIe and M.2 modules. The new embedded board comes equipped with a TPM 2.0 for hardware protection of applications and licenses. The board is available with Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 as well as with Intel Xeon E3.
The new mITX-SKL-S-C236 board is part of Kontron`s Security Solution Line. It enables comfortable application protection against unwanted access as well as license creation, management, and tracking. At the same time, privileges and access levels can be assigned. All established operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Linux as well as Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7) are supported.
