The CFC-ADA-1 adaptor in 2.5" footprint allows to use CompactFlash and Microdrive exchangeable data storage devices.

Being equipped with both 40 and 44 pin IDE interface, 2.5" and 3.5" harddrives can be connected as well as a CD-ROM drive. Additionally are LED connectors and Master/Slave Mode JUMPers. Either used as an embedded 2.5" harddrive replacement or used as exchangeable storage device surface mounted - simply break away the small lid and it is ready for surface mounting.

The Master/Slave mode allows to determine from which drive to boot first, making it very convenient if a software update is to be implemented.

This adaptor avoids a lot of headaches as many hardware developers did quote.
