Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

Quiet and powerful - No Contradiction
Pentium III with measured cooling
Eching, Germany, September 24, 2001 - Kontron is expanding its range of 19-inch industrial PCs with the PxV414. The computer, equipped with a Pentium III and running at a clock frequency of 1 GHz, goes a long way to fulfilling the requirements of high performance applications in automation and robotics. The fieldbus technologies, such as PROFIBUS and CAN, used with these applications are supported with integral fieldbus cards. The industrial PC with a mounting depth of 453 mm is fitted with the E-PAC system for optimum cooling of the hotspots. In addition the chassis fan is equipped with a controller, resulting in low noise emission at normal load. The application of the latest and in-house developed components backplanes, fan-control board, chassis, SBCs guarantees a computer lifetime of longer than five years. The integration of components such as DVD, CD-RW and a HDD of up to 60 GB is obligatory; a 32 MB PCI VGA card is an optional supplement for the computer. The computer has Micro PCI slots available for the easy upgrade of other features. Through the open system architecture, the PxV414 can be easily and cost-effectively adapted to almost any application.
