Intel Developers Forum, San Jose, CA., August 27, 2001 - Kontron Communications Inc., Kontron Communications Inc., the wholly-owned operating company of Kontron Embedded Computers, today announced the launch of the Teknor DS1120, a new high-performance, 1U rack mount server based on Intel. Architecture with dual-processing power. Derived on the same award-winning open-platform architecture as the DreamSpeed family of products, the new Teknor DS1120 features maximum flexibility and expandability in a 1U form factor, but requires a minimum amount of space in the conventional cabinets used by OEMs to implement critical data networking applications.

Measuring in at only 16.5-inches deep, the Teknor DS1120s space-saving design and front-end I/O access delivers maximum rack mount flexibility in a 1U form factor, which gives customers more power in a smaller work environment and saves valuable floor and rack space. The Teknor DS1120 provides up to 4 GB SDRAM, dual 10/100Base T-TX Ethernet ports and powers the most demanding Internet infrastructure networks because of its Intel. dual-processing power with a high performance Pentium. III processor (1 GHz).
