FieldWorks Introduces The Envoy Mobile Data Server

(OTC BB: FWRX, a leading provider of rugged, mobile computers, today introduced the EnVoy Mobile Data Server (MDS) - the next evolution of advanced mobile computing technology designed specifically for installation and use in squad cars and other professional service vehicles.

FieldWorks, long a leader in vehicular computing, recently announced that it will change its name to Kontron Mobile Computing Computing, effective April 16, 2001. The EnVoy will be the first new product shipped under the Kontron Mobile Computing Computing company name.

Fingertip convenience with one-touch function keys and optional touch screen.
Impressive connectivity with three RS-232 ports, one dual-channel USB port and one parallel port. The EnVoy also features two open PC Card slots with Card Bus accommodating one Type III or two Type II devices.
Ruggedness tested to independent specifications, with a lightweight aluminum chassis and a solid, unitized construction, protecting components from shock and vibration.
Wide operating temperature and humidity ranges, with operation possible up to 60 degrees C with the EnVoy?s fanless cooling system.
