Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

FieldWorks Awarded $1.1 Million Military Order
Eden Prairie, Minn., November 18, 1998 - FieldWorks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FWRX) today announced an order for custom-engineered 5000 Series II workstations from the military. Consistent with the nature of FieldWorks business, the company continues to work on a number of major transactions. Although the company is optimistic that other additional transactions could result in orders, FieldWorks clarified there are no further definitive agreements at this time.
